Ms. Nelfa J. Ampatuan of the Civil Service Commission briefed MGB-6 on the focus of the SPMS which was developed to address the gaps and weakness found in previous perforrmance evaluation systems.

The SPMS will replace the current Performance Evaluation System as mandated by the CSC through the issuance of CSC Memorandum Circular N0. 6 series of 2012.

The SPMS focuses on linking individual performance vis-a-vis the agency’s organizational vision, mission and strategic goals. The SPMS will also establish a more performance-based orientation of the government’s compensation system, putting premium on individual and organizational performance as bases for enhancing merit and compensation system.

Regional Director Leo Van V. Juguan, CESO V, encouraged the 50 MGB-6 employees who attended the orientation to maximize the expertise of CSC in threshing out issues and concerns on the SPMS.  MGB-6 employees prepared and presented their Individual Performance Commitment Review (IPCR) based on the Organization’s commitments and targets.
