MGB RO-6 Division Chiefs participated in the MGB First Middle Management Conference  

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) held its First Middle Management Conference on February 3-5, 2016 at the Brentwood Suites, Quezon City attended by all middle managers or Division Chiefs of the MGB Central Office and MGB Regional Offices.

MGB Director Leo L. Jasareno conferred with the MGB Division Chiefs  on important administrative, financial and operational matters of the MGB, particularly the 2015 Accomplishments, Financial Performance Report, 2016 Work and Financial Plan, 2017 Budget Call, Geohazard Assessments Program, Quadrangle Mapping Program, Memorandum Circular No. 2006-02 or the policy of Zero Backlog on Exploration Permit Applications, Harmonization of Environmental Impact System (EIS) and the Mining Act, Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (EITI) Data Related and other Reporting Requirements, Operationalization of the Negros Island Region (NIR) and Proposed Policies.

The four Division Chiefs of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. 6 (MGB RO-6) attended the conference namely, Ms. Cecilia L. Ochavo-Saycon, Chief of the Finance and Administrative Division (FAD), Ms. Mae Y. Magarzo, Chief of the Geosciences Division (GD), Engr. Rene B. de la Cruz, Chief of the Mine Safety, Environment and Social Development Division (MSESDD), and Engr. Florian D. Jimenez, Chief of the Mine Management Division.

The MGB RO-6 Division Chiefs echoed the discussions and directions from the conference to all the personnel of the MGB RO-6 during a general assembly held at the regional office on February 9, 2016.
